The challengeSalthill Hotel has undergone major refurbishment this year and wanted to raise awareness as a location of choice and engage with people that are from Galway or are likely to travel to Galway.
The solution
They had just under 400 Facebook fans who already had a positive view of the hotel with little or no activity or growth. We created a Facebook app and tapped into a Galway-ism of 'kicking the wall' in Salthill. People could now 'pic the wall' on Facebook and thus spread the word virally and building the association with the Salthill Hotel.
The results
A 1400% increase in their active fan base and a significant increase in online sales as a direct consequence of the facebook activity.
