Direct Mail
The challengeConvince people to switch from using oil to gas in order to heat their homes.
The solution
Through data segmentation and profiling, we identified 1000 oil customers with old oil boilers who would have had a high propensity to switch to a cleaner more efficient fuel. Consequently, we mailed them with a discount offer which was presented in a fun, novel and engaging way. Two mailings (each with a separate glove) were sent which were followed by a telephone call.
The results
5% sales conversion to date and still growing. A full nationwide roll out in 2012 as a result of this test mailing.
