The solution
Develop a strong relationship with their Meter customers. But to reach the decision maker responsible for Meter Machines, communications were directed via the staff member responsible for the organisation’s mail.
We developed a VIP (Very Important Post) Programme specifically for these individuals. After rewarding our VIPs for giving us decision maker's details, we engaged in a 'little-and-often' dialogue with both groups. Various media were tested to find the best mix for offering discounts on An Post products and services in addition to personal offers.
The results
143% of target reached and 39% of database signed up to programme. Organisations who are members of the VIP Programme currently spend 11% more than non-members.
